What’s the most unexpected or surprising thing you’ve learned since joining the biotech industry?
There is a much bigger, friendlier network that warmly welcomes you in than I'd ever imagined. Organisations like Bionow for example really go out there way to foster a sense of biotech and life sciences community and I think it's amazing of them, and I am genuinely appreciative that they exist to support newcomers like us.
What’s one project or achievement at the company that you’re particularly proud of, and why?
I am very proud of R.O.S.A.L.I.N.D™ as a whole. It was not easy to build.
What’s your go-to way to unwind after a long day in the lab or office?
I've gotten into watching the X files with the wife and our cats. Its a nice bit of escapism after particularly punishing days.

The creation of Pokéballs, because that would mean Pokémon were real.

Reading fantasy or sci-fi books, especially anything by Brandon Sanderson.
What’s the most unexpected or surprising thing you’ve learned since joining the biotech industry?
I’ve been surprised by how interdisciplinary research is often underused across the field, both in industry and academia.

Everybody wants their shit automated, but nobody wants to write any code.
